Substitute for butter in baking?
I would like to bake a cake but am unsure what low fat spread to use Obviously Lurpak lighter of Anchor Spreadable would still be quite high in fat content I saw a Rosemary Conley recipe for sponge pudding using St Ivel Gold but they don’t seem to make it anymore Can anyone help
Apple sauce works wonders for making something that would normally have lots of fat be a low fat option. I am unsure why it works, but simple substitute apple sauce in the same proportions (cup for cup) and your baking will still turn out full, fluffy and amazing.
