I need the best bran muffin recipe!?
I need a really good recipe for bran muffins, but it has to meet these guidelines:
1. Under 100 calories
2. Doesn’t use bran cereal (only wheat and/or oat bran)
3. REALLY healthy (no all-purpose flour, not too much sugar, low in carbohydrates, etc.)
4. Not too sweet
5. Has some dried fruit and/or nuts in it

Low-Fat Apple Orange Oat Bran Muffins Recipe #63045

24 muffins
1 1/2 cups oat bran
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 peeled and diced apple
1 cup raisins
In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, oat bran, baking powder and soda, salt and cinnamon.
Combine buttermilk, egg, orange rind and juice in a separate bowl.
Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mixing just until moistened.
Stir in apples and raisins.
Spoon into greased muffin tins.
Sprinkle with wheat germ.
Bake at 400 for 18-20 minutes.
