healthy recipes avocado
Healthy recipe for vegetables?
How can I prepare these vegetables so that they are tasty, yet low-fat…I can use a marinade/spice rub and olive oil. Please no butter or high-cal sauces….Thank you.
carrots
new potatoes
green/red/yellow pepper
avocado
onion
etc.
Roasting is ideal,it really holds the flavor. A little olive oil,salt andpepper does the trick. With peppers, I like to saute them in a half tsp. of olive oil, add 2 tsp. of balsamic vinegar aned 1/2 tsp honey, delicious! I’d add the onion to them as well. Carrots, just a little dill does the trick. For potatoes, the best recipe is cook them in low fat chicken broth, better yet, do half potatoes, half frozen cubed turnip, then mash them. They’re incredible. The avocado, I’m stumpded.
